Since I‘m taking notes as I go, kinda dissecting the novel, so I can write my own pirate inspired retelling, I noticed something not in this chapter two...

Jane is not mentioned by name nor is she alluded to as being in the room with Mr. and Mrs. Bennet, Lizzie, Mary, Kitty, and Lydia.

#dailycheckin We have thankfully dodged the storm, and I hope everyone else in its path is as lucky. Some rain, but just breezy, no strong winds here. Still, I‘m glad we prepared. We‘ll start removing shutters tomorrow. I‘ve done a lot of cooking the past couple days, including this shrimp and white bean salad that we had with focaccia last night. No, not homemade. I‘m not that ambitious 😂

I enjoyed this one. It takes an ousted secret service agent to a private security gig in Japan. He inadvertently starts a war with the yakuza, and you can imagine. The bits and pieces of Japanese culture that were thrown in were interesting to me.
